Meditation
Are you forever searching that magical slumber? Don't forget the essence of Yoga is meditation. To help you get started, I included some useful apps and videos. You could use these first thing in the morning or whenever you might want to readjust your energy. When you think 'I don't have the time to meditate', that is when you will need meditation most.

Candle Meditation
Take a deep breath in,
breath out and notice how your body feel and where do you feel it.
Breath in as you raise your shoulders then
breath out as you lower your shoulders into a comfortable position for you.
Rest peacefully, begin to form an image in your mind.
Imagine that you are in a safe, comfortable room.
The room is pleasantly dark, a lot like the room you are currently in.
Imagine the glow of a candle beside you.
Notice how the candle flickers as you breath in and breath out.
Notice the stillness as you pause in between your breath.
Keep your attention facing forward as you notice the candle flickers making a dance on the wall in front of you.
Feel yourself relaxing as you watch the candle dancing with it's shadow on the wall.
What does your candle look like?
What shape is it? What colour? Maybe it's red or maybe it's more than one colour.
What size? What smell?
Is it a Christmas candle or just the one sitting in your living room?
Notice the flame gently moving as the candle burns.
The candle is gently melting with wax becoming softer as it melts.
Imagine that the candle gently melts away the stresses and tension you might have in your body.
Notice the wax becoming softer. Feel your body also becoming softer.
Now gradually bring your mind back to your body,
know that your burning candle will always be available and you can bring you focus back to your burning candle when you need to, gently waggle your fingers and your toes.
Move your head and neck side to side.
Take a big stretch as if you have just woken up for the first time today.
Meditation with W.B.Yeats
The long winter is nearly over, spring is almost here, the Snowdrops and Daffodils are all flowering. Trees and shrubs are changing their colour from brown to red to green. Imagine you are in a garden, any garden that might be, it might be your a garden you played in when you were young or it might be a garden you walked pass or it might be the garden back in France inside a palace.
Wherever you might be in the world, I would like to share one of my favourite poem with you in your garden.
The cloths of Heaven by W.B.Yeats
Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths
Enwrought with golden and silver light
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light
I would spread the cloths under your feet
But I being poor, have only my dreams
I have spread my dreams under your feet
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams
